Introduction
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is something that is weighing on every business owners' mind. GST Assistance Scheme
is a new initiative by government to assist these group of SMEs who voluntarily
register to be a GST Trader from 1 March 2007 to 30 March 2009.
With effect from 1 July GST will be increased to 7%. Presently for SMEs
who are absorbing the 5%,will have to face with a bigger cut in their
profit margin if they continue to absorb 7% GST come July 1st.

helping clients with their investment and financial planning needs. At
present she is managing A2000 client’s Maintenance Contract for
the past 5 years. Her company is an accounting software company had has
been in providing this particular area of expertise for many years.
Their accounting software has been marketed in Singapore for
the past 3yrs
