Last week we did not send out a newsletter because it was a long weekend. We hope that Ozone members enjoyed their holiday last week.  We have been rolling out interesting events as well as planning a brand new event - Ozone Member's Showcase (see below).
Ozone Business Forum #2 - Creativity as a Life Skill                         02/04/07

The speaker for Ozone Business Forum #2 - Creativity as a life skill, was Hector Ramos. He talked about how important creativity was, and talked about the various different definitions of creativity, and had some practical applications for us - for creativity, that got us thinking about how we should go about looking at things from different angles.  The session showed us that creative thinking is actually a detailed thought process that required a structured mechanism to coax out those creative ideas. Kudos to Hector for making it such a fun learning experience. those that would like to engage Hector's services - please contact him via email.

Ozone Business Forum #3 - Is your biz ready for Franchising?   12/04/07

The speaker for  the 3rd installment of OBF was Eric Cheong, principal consultant of Brookes Consulting, a consulting firm that specialises in consultancy for franchising. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Eric brought us into the exciting world of franchising. We had some people who were operating a business that were looking at franchising it. Namely from the food industry, already well known for its franchised brands - like Subway and Yah Kun Kaya Toast. Eric gave us ideas on the type of businesses can be franchised, and even if they aren’t ready for franchising - how to streamline operations to be ready for expansion.
